The first main PV runs 1 minute 43 seconds. Its tagline is the anime's motto for life among humans: you need connections, cash and constitution.

In Japanese the three words rhyme: kone, kane and hone. The last one literally means "bone," and the official site uses it to stand for health.

The New Main Visual#

The first main visual shows Eve on a hillside in flower, a staff with a red gem over her shoulder. Nemu hovers beside her on tattered wings, and a town sits far off in the valley below.

What Is Skull Dragon's Precious Daughter About?#

The Forest of Scraps is where everything gets thrown away. A little girl named Eve is abandoned there, and the one who takes her in is Nemu, an old dragon close to the end of his life.

Deep in the forest, Eve grows up healthy under Nemu's protection. Their quiet life of one human and one dragon doesn't last. Nemu's time runs out.

Then Eve summons his soul back, and Nemu returns as a skull dragon. Worried about her future, he decides to travel with her to where humans live.

Part of his plan is building Eve's connections. Nemu has many offspring scattered across the land, and he sets out to find them so they can bond with Eve as siblings.

Cast and Characters#

• Kana Hanazawa as Eve, a girl with a big appetite and a wild streak who loves apples
• Kazuhiko Inoue as Nemu, the skull dragon who is a parent to Eve

Hanazawa's comment on the official site reads: "It's unfair to see the preciousness of everyday life with someone dear to you drawn in animation this heartfelt."

Inoue calls it a work with a lovely atmosphere that soothes the heart just by watching. Inoue also jokes that the role of Nemu is a perfect fit for "the always sleepy Inoue."
