The anime starts in January 2027 on AT-X, a premium anime channel in Japan. The exact day and time slot haven't been announced.

This is a delayed premiere. The series was first planned for 2026. On June 25, 2026, the production moved it to January 2027, saying it wanted to deliver the anime in better shape.

Key visual#

The key visual puts Yusuke at the center, a handgun in one hand and blood on the other. Mitsuki, Tokiko and Sayaka surround him under a night sky full of stars.

What is the story about?#

Zombies flood the city without warning, and society collapses almost overnight. In the middle of the panic, former office worker Yusuke Takemura discovers that the zombies don't attack him. Nobody knows why.

A typical zombie story would turn that into a hero's origin. Yusuke isn't interested. With law and morality gone and his own safety guaranteed, he acts on his own desires.

The official site calls it a "zombie panic action" series about the nature of life and sex. The original story was published as an adult web novel, so expect a series aimed at mature viewers.

Cast and characters#

Rikako Ito and Marie Miyake are the two new additions. Wataru Kato and Yuno Azuma were announced in June.

  • Yusuke Takemura: Wataru Kato. A former office worker who doesn't care about other people or society. Zombies leave him alone, and he has no interest in helping anyone.
  • Mitsuki Fujino: Yuno Azuma. A girl who lost her parents in the outbreak. She is trying to keep her two little brothers alive when she meets Yusuke.
  • Tokiko Kurose: Rikako Ito. An office worker who lived in Yusuke's apartment building. She has turned into a zombie but stays calm, never attacks Yusuke and shows a strange attachment to him.
  • Sayaka Makiura: Marie Miyake. A rookie doctor treating survivors at the city hall shelter. She serves as vice chair of its committee and can't sleep under the pressure.
