When Does the Rebuild World Anime Come Out?#

There's no date, season or year yet. The official site still says only that a TV anime has been confirmed.

The wait has already been long. KADOKAWA announced the anime at Anime Expo in July 2023 and named the three main cast members later that month. After that, nothing new came out until this week.

Date	What was announced
July 2023	TV anime announced at Anime Expo; main cast revealed
October 3, 2026	First key visual, main staff, studio and story
To be announced	Release date, trailer, broadcast and streaming

The First Key Visual#

The key visual puts Akira front and center. He lunges forward in dark, worn-out gear, hands wrapped in bandages, with a heavy pistol aimed past the viewer. Alpha appears behind him, long blonde hair streaming, against a skyline of collapsed towers.

The tagline down the side reads: "Bet everything and survive."

There's no PV yet. The visuals are the only look at the anime's art so far.

What Is Rebuild World About?#

The Old World reached the height of science and technology, then collapsed, leaving behind countless relics. Now hunters risk their lives in its ruins, chasing the one find that will make them rich.

Akira is a rookie hunter from the slums with nothing to his name. To climb out, he walks into an Old World ruin knowing it may kill him. There he meets Alpha, a mysterious and beautiful woman whom, for some reason, only he can see.

She offers a deal. She'll lend him her power, and in return he'll secretly conquer a certain ruin for her. The moment he accepts, their strange career as hunters begins.

Rebuild World Cast#

• Daiki Yamashita as Akira
• Yurika Kubo as Alpha
• Honoka Inoue as Sheryl

All three were announced in July 2023 and remain attached to the project.

Who Is Making the Rebuild World Anime?#

• Original work: Nahuse
• Chief director: Tsukasa Sakurai
• Director: Shingo Uchida
• Series composition: Naoki Tozuka
• Character design: Hiromi Kato and others
• Animation production: Raging Bull

Uchida has worked as an episode director on Attack on Titan Season 3 and Vinland Saga. Tozuka wrote both seasons of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince, and Kato's character designs include Goblin Slayer II and A Returner's Magic Should Be Special.

The original novels credit three artists, and the anime lists all of them: Gin for character illustrations, yish for the world and cell for mechanical design.

The Novels and Manga Behind the Anime#

Nahuse began Rebuild World as a web novel in February 2017. KADOKAWA has published it in print since 2019. It ranked fifth in its category in the 2020 edition of the Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! guide.

Kirihito Ayamura's manga adaptation started in July 2019 and has reached 16 volumes in Japan.

J-Novel Club publishes both the light novels and the manga in English.
