Chinese novelist and phonologist of the Qing dynasty. He was the author of the novel Jing Hua Yuan, or Flowers in the Mirror. He also wrote Lishi Yinjian, a work of Chinese phonology, and complied Shou Zi Pu, a valuable kifu of Go.
