Kaizawa Keitarou (nickname: Keita), who moved to Tokyo from Hokkaido to attend high school, ends up living in a student apartment run by a family friend. There, he meets Miyara Kanami (nickname: Kana), a boy his age who was born in Okinawa. Upon seeing Kana's good looks, Keita impulsively shouts, "Handsome!"—only to have Kana react with disdain.
