Despite her unquestioning loyalty to the emperor as his knight, Iona is left to die on the battlefield by her uncaring master. The last person she expects to come to her rescue in her final moments is her husband, Duke Leroy Hann, who was forced into a political marriage with her. Once she dies and wakes up as her past self, Iona decides to abandon the emperor and devote herself to making Leroy happy.
