As a second-year middle school student in a rural town, during a time when I was at my most sensitive, epilepsy, an unwelcome guest, suddenly arrived. Plagued by a barrage of medication side effects, and branded with the label “the kid who has seizures,”
I had to live my days surrounded by misunderstanding and prejudice.
