When Does Code Geass Star Chaser Aspal Come Out?#
The only date so far is the year. The teaser ends on a single card reading "2027," and the official announcement says the series begins that year.
Sunrise hasn't named a season, a TV network or a streaming service. It also hasn't said how many episodes the series will run.
The project itself isn't new. It was first revealed on December 7, 2025, at the Code Geass Project "To 20th" event, along with its director and core staff. The teaser took another nine months. It went up on the same day the TV broadcast of Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture aired its final episode.
Watch the Star Chaser Aspal Teaser Trailer#
The teaser runs just 33 seconds, and what it shows is a long way from the modern Britannian empire of the original series.
It opens inside an ornate temple hung with red curtains. Then it moves to a dark forest, where a huge shape looms among the trees. Ranks of archers draw their bows under a bright sky and loose a volley of arrows. A girl laughs with her arms thrown wide in golden light. At night, a glowing blue machine crackles with lightning.
The final shot, also the thumbnail, is a close-up of an eye lit by a blue sigil. For a franchise built around the red mark of the Geass, that color choice is hard to miss.
Fans noticed quickly. The teaser passed 1.5 million views on YouTube within its first day. It also gathered more than 18,000 likes.
What Is Star Chaser Aspal About?#
Sunrise hasn't released a synopsis, and no characters have been named.
The staff list does offer one clue. Alongside the character designer, it credits a designer for the "Agarmatha." The term appears in the series but hasn't been explained yet. Code Geass has always paired political drama with mecha. The glowing machines in the teaser are the obvious candidates.
