In the U.S., VIZ Media streams the anime on Hulu, which you can also watch inside Disney+. The series streams on Disney+ in many other regions and on Ani-One Asia in parts of Asia, according to Anime News Network.
In Japan, BS TV Tokyo airs episode 49 on Tuesday, October 20 at 24:30. Subscription services in Japan start streaming it on October 20 at noon JST, and free services follow on October 25.
Why Bleach episode 49 was delayed#
On September 12, the production committee announced that episodes 49 and 50 would move to October 19 and October 26. The staff wanted more time to improve the quality of the anime ahead of its climax.
TV Tokyo filled the gap with a four-week "climax selection" of earlier episodes that follow the fight between Ichigo Kurosaki and Yhwach. The broadcast also moved from Saturdays at 23:00 to Mondays at 24:00.
What happens in Bleach episode 49?#
According to the official synopsis, Yhwach transcends dimensions and appears in the Soul Society, the World of the Living and Hueco Mundo at once. He declares that he will return the world to nothing and create a new one, free from both the fear of life and the fear of death.
But Ichigo, back on his feet after despair, has not given up on the world, and neither have his allies among the Soul Reapers and the Arrancar. The final battle with Yhwach begins in all three worlds.

The official Bleach YouTube channel released "THE LAST PV" on October 16, ahead of the final two episodes. It runs 1 minute 42 seconds.
When does the Bleach final episode air?#
Episode 50, the last episode of the anime, airs in Japan on Monday, October 26 at 24:00 JST. That converts to 8:00 a.m. PT and 11:00 a.m. ET on October 26. Europe switches back to standard time on October 25, so it is 3:00 p.m. in the UK and 4:00 p.m. in Central Europe.
VIZ Media has not announced the U.S. streaming time for episode 50 yet. In Japan, United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba screens episodes 41 to 49 on October 25. A talk follows with Masakazu Morita (Ichigo), Noriaki Sugiyama (Uryu), creator Tite Kubo and director Hikaru Murata.
