As a Reincarnated Aristocrat Season 3: Release Date and Studio Change
As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World returns on Sunday, September 27, 2026. That is three weeks out, which is unusually short notice for a date reveal.
The second promotional video arrived on September 4 with the date, both theme songs, four more cast members and one detail the production committee published a separate statement about. The anime has a new animation studio.
Key Takeaways
- Season 3 premieres Sunday, September 27, 2026 on the CBC and TBS network.
- GeyeG Pictures replaces studio MOTHER. The new studio was founded in May 2026 and this is its debut production.
- Director Takao Kato and the rest of the main staff continue, per an official statement.
- Opening is "Still Water" by Riko Sasaki, ending is "Hibi o Koete" by Akuruyo no Hitsuji.
- The series has passed 7 million copies in circulation.
When Does Season 3 Come Out?#
Sunday, September 27, 2026. The full broadcast grid is public, and it is spread across three networks over five days.
The Full Broadcast Schedule#
- CBC and TBS, 28 stations, in the Agaru Anime block: Sundays at 23:30. The first episode instead airs September 27 at 24:00.
- BS NTV: Tuesdays at 24:00. The first episode instead airs September 29 at 23:30.
- AT-X: from October 1, Thursdays at 22:30, with repeats Mondays at 22:30 and Wednesdays at 16:30.
Japanese schedules count late-night slots past 24, so 24:00 on Sunday is midnight going into Monday. Both the CBC and BS NTV premieres run at a different time from their regular slots. Check twice if you are recording.
Streaming in Japan and in English#
In Japan, U-NEXT, Anime Hodai and d Anime Store get advance streaming from 00:30 on Monday, September 28. Other services follow from 00:00 on Thursday, October 1.
For English viewers, nothing has been confirmed for season 3. Crunchyroll streamed both earlier seasons worldwide outside East Asia, and Medialink's Ani-One Asia covered East and Southeast Asia. The same arrangement is the reasonable expectation.
You can follow the listing on Animanga Planet or on the official site.
The Animation Studio Has Changed#
This is the headline. GeyeG Pictures now handles animation production, replacing studio MOTHER, which made both previous seasons.
The change is visible in the credits of the two promotional videos. April's PV listed studio MOTHER. September's PV lists GeyeG Pictures.
What the Official Statement Says#
The production committee did not let this pass quietly. On September 4 it posted a dedicated notice on the official site, headed as an announcement about the animation production studio change.
The notice confirms that studio MOTHER handled seasons 1 and 2, and that GeyeG Pictures takes over from season 3. Then it adds the part that matters most to viewers. Even after the production company change, the main staff including director Takao Kato all continue.
No reason for the switch was given. Publishing a standalone notice rather than quietly updating a credit list suggests the committee expected fans to notice and wanted to answer the obvious worry before it spread.
Who Is GeyeG Pictures?#
Almost nobody, until this year. The studio's own company profile lists its founding month as May 2026, four months before this premiere.
It runs out of Kamiigusa in Suginami, Tokyo, and reported 47 employees as of June 2026. The name comes from stacking "Geek" and "eye". The company explains that as the passion of obsessive fans meeting the perspective of the people making the work.
The Works page on its site lists exactly one title: As a Reincarnated Aristocrat Season 3. This is the studio's debut production.
The Team Moved With the Show#
That sounds alarming until you read the studio's Creators page, which lists Takao Kato and Hiroaki Matsushima among its own directorial staff. The sub character designers credited on season 3 are listed there too.
So this is not a case of a series being handed to strangers. The people making season 3 are the studio, and the studio was built around them. A brand new company with the show's own director on staff reads more like a spin-off than a replacement.
The risk does not vanish. A four-month-old company with 47 staff is taking a twelve-episode television series as its first job, with no back catalogue to judge it by. What does not apply here is the usual worry, that a new team will not understand the show.
What studio MOTHER Brought to the First Two Seasons#
The outgoing studio is not much older. studio MOTHER was founded in May 2019, also in Suginami. It was staffed largely by people from the former Xebec, after IG Port sold most of that studio's assets to Sunrise.
Its credits include Arifureta season 2, More than a Married Couple but Not Lovers, and Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199, alongside both seasons of this series.
What Actually Carries Over#
A studio change matters less when the people do not change with it. Here most of them did not.
- Takao Kato directs, as he did on both earlier seasons.
- Yuko Yahiro returns on character design.
- Kujira Yumemi returns on music.
- The entire main voice cast returns.
One creative role did turn over independently of the studio. Daisuke Ohigashi takes series composition from Yasuhiro Nakanishi, who wrote seasons 1 and 2. Hiroaki Matsushima joins as assistant director, a credit the earlier seasons did not carry.
What PV 2 Shows#
The second promotional video runs 109 seconds and went up on Bandai Namco Filmworks' isekai channel on September 4, 2026. Its tagline is about not being alone, and standing with comrades you trust.
The thumbnail sets a much harder tone than this series usually goes for. It is an extreme close-up of a face lit from below by fire, mouth open mid-shout, both eyes carrying the reflection of flames.
Season 1 and 2 marketing leaned on Ars recruiting people and building a territory. This leads with someone screaming in front of a burning something, which fits a season that opens with an invasion.
Both Theme Songs Play in It#
The video carries the opening and ending themes, and the official site published artist comments the same day.
The opening is "Still Water" by Riko Sasaki. The site describes it as built on a theme of purity and clear water, an alternative rock track that pairs transparency with strong emotion.
The ending is "Hibi o Koete" by Akuruyo no Hitsuji, written around the idea of surpassing the person you were yesterday. It is pitched as an emotional rock number aimed at people carrying doubt who keep moving forward anyway.
How the Two PVs Compare#
PV 1 arrived on April 7, 2026 with a Fall 2026 window and no date. PV 2 is the one that pinned it down.
Likes still favour PV 1 at 4,619 against 2,255, which five extra months of circulation will do. On pace PV 2 is well ahead.
PV 1 Is Still Worth a Minute#
The first promotional video runs 60 seconds and led with a different idea, about standing alongside talent you have not met yet.
That is the older pitch for this series, the one about recruitment and appraisal. Watching both back to back shows the season moving from gathering people to defending what they built.
What Season 3 Is About#
Ars Louvent was reincarnated with an appraisal skill that reads a person's abilities and stats on sight. He has spent two seasons using it to find talent nobody else recognised and put it to work.
Season 3 picks up after the Mysian war of succession. Ars was recognised for his part in it and installed as governor of Canare county, where he has been welcoming new retainers and rebuilding the Louvent house.
Then the war finds him. A large army from the state of Saitz, now allied with Basamark, moves on Canare. The official synopsis frames it as a new chapter, each character carrying their own reasons into the fight.
Why the Appraisal Premise Still Works#
Most isekai power fantasies give the lead a skill that wins fights. This one gives him a skill that finds people. That pushes the story toward management rather than combat.
Ars is not the strongest person in his own series and never has been. He is the one who can tell, at a glance, which unremarkable person is worth investing in. The show is about the territory that decision builds.
Season 3 tests that directly. An invasion is the point where a leader finds out whether the people he picked were the right ones.
The Season 3 Voice Cast#
The full principal cast returns, with new roles added for the invasion arc.
- Natsumi Fujiwara as Ars Louvent
- Taito Ban as Ritsu Muses
- Narumi Kaho as Charlotte Wraith
- Miho Okasaki as Rosell Kischa
- Kana Hanazawa as Lycia Plaid
- Hitomi Nabatame as Mireille Grandion
- Haruka Tomatsu as Fahm
- Sumire Morohoshi as Musia Trick (new)
- Hinata Tadokoro as Zaht Brouzdo (new)
Kana Hanazawa and Haruka Tomatsu are the names most viewers will recognise instantly. Natsumi Fujiwara has carried Ars from the start, and her lighter register suits a protagonist whose authority comes from judgement rather than force.
Two further roles were announced alongside these in the video, bringing the season's confirmed cast to eleven.
Names You Will Know#
Kana Hanazawa is among the most prolific voices in the industry, and she sang season 1's ending theme as well as playing Lycia. Haruka Tomatsu brings a similar level of recognition as Fahm.
Miho Okasaki plays Rosell. She has been busy this year, and readers may recognise her from the winter schedule too. Sumire Morohoshi joins as Musia Trick, adding another established name to an already deep bench.
Who Is Making Season 3?#
- Original light novel: Miraijin A, published by Kodansha under K Ranobe Books
- Original character design: jimmy
- Director: Takao Kato
- Assistant director: Hiroaki Matsushima
- Series composition: Daisuke Ohigashi
- Character design: Yuko Yahiro
- Music: Kujira Yumemi
- Animation production: GeyeG Pictures
The one change worth watching independently of the studio is the writer. Yasuhiro Nakanishi handled series composition on both earlier seasons, and Daisuke Ohigashi takes it now.
A new studio and a new writer landing in the same season is a lot of turnover at once. The counterweight is that the director, designer, composer and cast all carried through, which is where a show's identity usually lives.
The Light Novels and Manga#
Miraijin A writes the light novels with illustrations by jimmy. The series started on the web novel site Shousetsuka ni Narou, where it has passed 100 million cumulative page views.
Nine light novel volumes are out. The manga adaptation by Natsumi Inoue runs in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket and stands at 21 volumes.
The Books Have Passed 7 Million Copies#
Across the light novels and the manga, the series now has more than 7 million volumes in print. Five months earlier the figure stood at 6.8 million.
Kodansha USA licenses both the novels and the manga in English, so readers outside Japan can get ahead of the anime legally.
Where Season 3 Falls in the Series#
The first two seasons aired close together in 2024, then the series went quiet for nearly two years.
Season 1 ran April 7 to June 23, 2024. Season 2 followed on September 29 that year and ended December 22. Season 3 arrives almost exactly two years after season 2, in the same late-September slot.
You Do Need the Earlier Seasons#
This is not a jumping-on point. Season 3 opens on the consequences of a succession war the previous seasons fought, with Ars already installed as a county governor.
Twenty-four episodes is a manageable catch-up, and both seasons are on Crunchyroll. Season 1 opened with "Blue Days" by True and closed with "Finally" by Kana Hanazawa, who plays Lycia.
Is Season 3 Worth Watching?#
The honest concern is the studio. GeyeG Pictures has no track record on this series, and taking over a show two seasons in is a hard assignment.
Against that, the committee kept the director, the character designer, the composer and every principal voice. That is the group that determines whether a show still feels like itself.
The material is also in its best position yet. An invasion arc gives a management-focused series real stakes, and it forces the appraisal premise to prove itself rather than just being a convenient shortcut.
For more of the autumn schedule, our 2026 anime hub is tracking the season, including FX Fighter Kurumi-chan on October 1 and Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 on October 7.
The official X account is where episode information will land first. Our anime news feed will carry the English streaming announcement when it arrives.
